- Music Community involvement:
Since 2008 Krzysztof Wolek works as a full time faculty member at The University of Louisville School of Music
where he teaches composition, computer music courses and serves as a director of the Computer Music Studios as well as the The University of Louisville New Music Festival
Krzysztof Wolek also works as a jury member of the The Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition, one of the largest
and most prestigious awards given annually in the field of contemporary music composition.
Since 2009 Krzysztof Wolek works as a programming committee member of The Warsaw Autumn Festival.
Krzysztof works as an organizer and jury member of the Frank Robert Abell Young Composers Competition for New Chamber Music.
As a composer and improviser Krzysztof has an ongoing collaboration with various artists and ensemble such as
Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej,
Agata Zubel,
Marek Choloniewski,
Jakob Kullberg,
Defibrillator,
Dominik Strycharski,
Malgorzata Walentynowicz,
among others.
In addition to all the above Krzysztof is a supportive member of various international contemporary music
organizations such as ISCM,
ZKP,
PSEME,
ICMA, among others.
