A few years after joining the Berliner Philharmonic as a violist Brett Dean started to work as a composer, initially working on experimental films and radio projects and as an improvising performer. During 2013 edition of the University of Louisville New Music Festival he joined Krzysztof Wolek and Henry Vega in an improvisation set that came back to the roots and beginnings of his compositional career and drew on the vast experiences of his amazing career as a performer, improviser and composer.
